Common questions

What traders usually ask first

How does the free trial work?

Download the paid tier free trial and use it immediately. No sign-up, no email, no account creation. You get 7 full days to use it, and you can subscribe afterward if you want to keep using it.

Is TradeMetric only for day traders?

No. TradeMetric is a strong fit for traders who review recorded sessions, including active intraday traders, futures/options traders, funded or prop traders, and trading coaches reviewing sessions. It is a weaker fit for long-term investors who do not need short-session screen recording and replay.

What is included in Tier 2?

Tier 2 includes the recorder, the fast trade clip workflow tool, and a video player built for reviewing trade sessions on multi-screen setups. It is for traders who want faster replay and organized review without the full analytics app.

What does Tier 3 add?

Tier 3 includes everything in Tier 2 plus the full Trade Metrics application, which adds a deeper review workflow with analytics and broader journaling support.

Do I have to upload my recordings, trade logs, or spreadsheets?

No. Everything stays on your own machine. TradeMetric does not upload your recordings, spreadsheets, or notes, and we do not have access to your trade data. If you want to share a file, you must use your own sharing method (for example Dropbox, Google Drive, YouTube, or any other service you choose).

Is the recorder free and open source?

Yes. The recorder tier is planned as a free offering, the installer will be available on this website, and the source will be hosted on GitHub.

Do I need to enter payment info just to try Tier 2 or Tier 3?

The free trial is designed as a simple download-first experience with no sign-up and no email required. Billing and checkout details will be available on the site as subscriptions go live.

Which operating system is supported right now?

Current software in this suite is Windows desktop software.

Still deciding between Tier 2 and Tier 3?

Pick Tier 2 if your main pain is the time it takes to cut and replay sessions. Pick Tier 3 if you also want a deeper metrics and journaling workflow around those clips.
